animals, even between plants too, isn’t it amazing? Yes, even plants and animals also talk with each

other with their signs and voices.

Here I am going to discuss the development of language in humans, especially at early ages. Its

development in children id literally multifarious and fascinating way that starts from birth and proceeds

to early childhood. There development, enhancement and nurturing is in the hands of parents first then

their teachers and then the people around them. In the article ahead from here I will discuss strategies

and procedures that are effective to provide and improve language skills:

1. Introduce Environment of Language-Rich:

Introducing a language rich environment is the basic necessity and need of a child that will foster the

skill of language learning and understanding at very early level. First, do talk very often and engage the

children in everyday conversations. The more you engage them in this activity the more they will talk

frequently. Secondly aloud books of children regularly in front of them to grab their attention and do

explain the part where they start to take interest or smile. Do explain daily routine activities and do ask

to explain theirs  too. Third, sing nursery rhymes or songs, help them to identify rhythm, vocabulary and

inflection.

2. Listening Activity :

Listening activity is critical and very important part of language development. There are certain

methods through which we can encourage listening which are explained. First ask questions, raise

questions about the activity or experience that is under consider to encourage the children towards

listening actively and respond. When the child replies, do repeat what actually he says or tries to say

and magnify their words or sentences by correcting their grammar and vocabulary. Secondly build an

eye contact when talking to the child or when the child is speaking to ensure both are listening to each

other.

3. Encouragement for Vocabulary Development:

Strong vocabulary is very important for effective communication. Here I will discuss some methods

how to improve and expand child’s vocabulary. Firstly you can introduce new words and their meaning

during daily activities to improve the quality of conversation. Secondly use simple sentences, definition

and give related examples. Mark or label different objects inside the house and outside around to let the

children  learn themselves and enhance their word bank. lastly, do introduce and play word games such

as scrabble or by naming objects that start with certain letters to make the game interesting.

4. Use Correct Grammar and Sentences:

Grammar and sentence structures are the most important part while improving the language of a

child. The grammar and sentence structure helps the child to encourage and to expand the

sentences by adding details. Practice by telling stories which help the child to practice organize

thoughts and using language.

5. Active Communication Approaches:

Communication has a key importance. It is more than just words. Pay attention to non-verbal

indications and face expressions and signs which are important for understanding emotions. Do

appreciate the child when he crosses a mile stone or when the child attempts to correct a sentence or an

answer. Give proper time to answer in the way the child tries and to express without interruption.

6. Correct Errors:

Do correct errors in supportive way which is very important for language development. Use different

methods to correct errors by repeating the correct form or providing explanation. During correction,

never humiliate or criticize to make the child feel humiliate or embarrassed. Support the correct output

or answer so that the child must continue improvement.

7. Pursuing Professional Direction:

For the children having language development issues, do avail proper guidance from a pediatrician and

speech therapist. Teachers can also play their role in this regard. Early identification can help us to solve

the potential issues and to support healthy language development.

8. Utilization of Play based learning and Peer Interaction:

One of the most important and natural way of learning and developing language skills is play. Therefore

trainers must incorporate play-based activities to promote language development. Foster such scenarios

like playing as a character of a doctor or a teacher. This is the way that helps the child to use language in

a diverse context. Provide resources and encourage to create stories and dialogue.

Encourage peer interaction which is also important and valuable for children in developing their

language. Create an environment for children to engage in group discussion where they can share their

thoughts, ideas and experiences. This will help them to work together to achieve a common goal, foster

communication and team work.

Conclusion:

There are lots of methods to share but some are discussed here. Implementing these methods and

strategies and the foundation approach explained above, trainers and educators can create complete

approach to support and foster child language development. Each child is born for an another time and

adapting these strategies to uniform individual needs will contribute to a rich and fulfilling a language

learning journey. So developing a child’s language skills need to create an environment, promote active
